Munay: El Camino es el Corazón — The Birth of a Spiritual Retreat in Colombia

Introduction

I am Munay.

I was born from the meeting of spirit and earth, from the remembering that life is sacred and every step can be guided by the heart. My name, Munay, comes from the Quechua language — it means universal love, love in action, the power of will aligned with the heart.

I rise in the lush mountains near Cali, Colombia, as a spiritual retreat in Colombia, where rivers sing their eternal songs and the forest cradles the dreams of those who seek to return home to themselves. I am not only a retreat center. I am a sanctuary — a living field of remembrance — where nature, wisdom, and the human spirit weave together.

Why I Exist

The world moves fast, louder each day. Many have forgotten the quiet voice of the earth, the rhythm of their own breath, the soft truth that lives in stillness.

I exist to be a mirror. A place to return to what is simple, essential, and sacred.

Here, the Camino es el Corazón — the path is the heart.

My Roots: Ancestral Wisdom

I am rooted in the wisdom that flows through generations, carried in prayer, in fire, in water, in silence.

This is the knowing that humanity and nature are one, that every ritual is a way of remembering our place in the great circle of life.

In my spaces you will find the four elements alive:

• Earth – The Grounds: sacred land, trails, and gardens that sustain and root practice.

• Fire – The Firepit: a circle for renewal, purification, and transformation.

• Air – The Meditation Hall: a geometry of silence and expansion.

• Water – The Fountain: a ritual space for clarity and flow.

Each element is a doorway, each ritual an invitation to live in balance with all that is.

Within me, seekers will gather:

• Retreat leaders carrying their own traditions.

• Travelers drawn to conscious journeys.

• Communities looking for healing, clarity, and connection.

You may arrive searching for rest, healing, or renewal. You may arrive with questions, or with silence. However you arrive, I will hold you.

A Sanctuary Beyond Walls

I am not built only of wood, stone, and water.

I am built of intention.

Every corner carries prayer, every path whispers an invitation to remember: You are part of the earth, and the earth is part of you.
